IT Business Analyst


Description

The Business Analyst will fill a key role within the IT department to help support various process and technology initiatives for the National Ad platform – CoxReps, Gamut, and Videa. The candidate will create business requirements documents, develop and maintain process flows, and facilitate system requirements for components of order processing platform. The candidate must have an understanding of business needs and priorities while providing appropriate guidance to technology partners to ensure alignment within the organizational vision. 
The candidate must be customer centric, self-sufficient, able to balance the demands of delivering results in the short term while helping deliver on its long-term business objectives. The candidate will report directly to the Vice President of Process and Applications and will be located in of the New York office.
Responsibilities:
• Gather requirements and create detailed functional specifications that capture the behavior for various organizational roles as well as any business rules across a variety of technological initiatives.• Elaborate on requirements through creation of user/process flow diagrams, data models, excel matrices, or other innovate methods to facilitate understanding and agreement with the stakeholders.• Develop detailed documents that capture existing and proposed business needs for IT solutions, transitional steps, process flows, operational behavior, and reporting.• Support the development team by communicating requirements and functional specifications. Assist in the definition, development, and testing of the technology builds.• Become an expert of various technology applications used to support business functions.• Act as a Liaison with parent Cox Media Group-Technology as well as local Operations Team to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.• Communicate statuses and keep team informed on progress of projects.


Qualifications

• Subject matter expertise in rep-firm sales processes and order fulfillment.• Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Will consider related industry experience in lieu of degree.• Familiarity with Media Advertising industry is strongly preferred.• Working knowledge of order processing tools, MediaLine and Darwin, is desired.• Experience with Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel skills or expertise of data manipulation tools is a plus.• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with business teams and leadership.• Team player with outstanding organization skills.
