FreeWheel is hiring a New York-based Inventory Manager, reporting to the Director, Markets Analytics & Insights. This team is responsible for managing, identifying and analyzing marketplace supply and demand for FreeWheel’s North American Markets business unit. The Markets BU enables the most premium video publishers – such as TV Programmers, MVPDs, and major digital media publishers – to monetize their content programmatically at scale. 


The Inventory Manager position will play a critical role in supporting decision-making for the group by researching, analyzing, recommending and reporting on the availability, yield, and performance of inventory across platforms and formats. This position will play a central role in a growing team, by leveraging data to analyze strategies and implement best-practices to support growth. This role will require constant collaboration with all functions in the Business Unit, including DSP and Trading Desk Sales, Account Management, Publisher Sales, Product Management, and Engineering. This role will be based in New York.



  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of FreeWheel’s customer base, specifically understanding the composition of clients and partners in the ecosystem
  • Analyze network health and performance: create, update and iterate reporting on KPIs and provide insights; develop dashboards to facilitate efficiency within the network; produce analysis of publisher performance, inventory valuation and margin study
  • Manage the pricing and availability inquires using available data and tools
  • Establish a highly collaborative, cross-functional relationships across the broader Markets BU
  • Manage relationship with internal Adops team to ensure setup, optimization and reporting of campaigns
  • Leverage FreeWheel’s data and tools to evaluate, structure and deliver on custom inventory packages and KPIs
  • Act as liaison between Ad Sales and DSP/Trading Desk partners, able to make actionable recommendations on deal structure to maximize delivery and yield
  • Serve as market expert, providing insight to the marketplace conditions and opportunities in specific markets or media outlets



  • 3+ years of online advertising experience, with aggregated digital video experience from an Ad Network, Supply Side Platform (SSPs) or Demand Side Platform (DSPs) strongly preferred
  • In-depth understanding of the digital video advertising market and metrics, strong familiarity with the competitive landscape and operational models of Ad Serving Companies, Supply Side Platforms (SSPs), and Demand Side Platforms (DSPs)
  • Experience curating PMPs and packing inventory to meet buyers’ business needs
  • Strong background in quantitative analytics (e.g., Excel, Access, SQL, other database tools)…a genuine love for numbers wouldn’t hurt either
  • Ability to independently structure and build presentations at all levels of insight across all functions (e.g., executive level strategy, in-depth data readouts)
  • Excellent business judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills that result in the ability to work effectively and efficiently across all functions in the business (sales, account management, support, product, engineering)
  • Highly motivated to work for a leading growth technology business
