Internal Sales Consultant

The primary responsibilities of this role, Internal Sales Consultant, are to:

 

  • Operates as a full capacity Women’s Healthcare Sales Consultant for multiple vacant territories;
  • Be fully product trained and does not operate off of a script in any way. They speak with all members of an office (Physician, Purchasing Manager, Pharmacy Director, Nurse) and influence the different members of the office to purchase Bayer WHC products;
  • Be the final decision maker on how they develop their territory, what customer are targeted , how they engage with customers and which products are discussed;
  • Develops business plans for all vacant territories to identify strategies to influence prescribing decisions based on previous sales history, competitive data and previous field call history;
  • When the field vacancy is filled, the BISC member partners with the field member and their regional business manager to provide detail knowledge transfer for a seamless customer transition;
  • Analyze office trends, advises on purchasing decisions, strategizes based on the goals of the office. The BISC member also partners closely with the billing personnel of customers to mitigate rebate and reimbursement issues;
  • Operate in an extremely complex environment. Unlike a field representative who partners with one RBM (Regional Business Manager), one KAM (Key Account Manager) and one FRM (Field Reimbursement Manager) a BISC member can be partnering with multiple field personnel in various roles depending on how many vacant territory that are covering at the time;
  • Sell our products based on the product features and benefits and also works with the account to identify contract opportunities;
  • In addition to vacancy management, the BISC team operates as a first contact for new initiatives for all top level customers. The BISC member will have to analyze their customer list and identify appropriate selling opportunities. Once identified, the BISC member has pricing, reimbursement, contract and product conversations with all members of the customer staff (HCP, nurse, etc.).

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor degree;
  • Ability to multitask, detail oriented and accurate in recording/handling project information;
  • Demonstrate procedural proficiency and knowledge of clinical data for all products;
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, strong rapport-building skills, and have excellent active listening skills;
  • Competency interpreting sales metrics;
  • Excellent selling, persuasion, and presentation skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year pharmaceutical experience;
  • 1 year telesales experience;
  • Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical/device industry, and/or general knowledge of FDA’s promotional regulations.
