The J&J Design Studio is the internal design team of Johnson & Johnson, and creates compelling end-user solutions across all the Company’s business groups - Consumer, Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices. Located in New York City, the Design Studio is comprised of 2D, 3D, DXD, UX/UI, CGI and Design Operations categories and numbers 100 professionals, many with advanced degrees in their chosen design specialties.

The internship is an integral role for gaining hands-on, real world experience in all aspects of the design development process.

The intern will use synthesis, visualization and storytelling to help design and communicate strategies, enabling the organization to deliver people-centered solutions. You will frame learnings into simple references, revealing deep insights and enable the team to collaborate in envisioning the possibilities of holistic care experience for Consumer, Health Care and internal solutions.

Interns will also have numerous opportunities presented to them that supplement this singular educational experience such as networking, mentoring options and cross-functional exposure.



Qualifications
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States, without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future is required.
  • A minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA is strongly preferred.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited College/University is required at time of the internship.
  • UX/UI focus is preferred as major field of study.
  • Must be able to develop a research plan, as well as conduct qualitative & quantitative research.
  • Fluency in Adobe CSS (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is required.
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional experience in strategic design methods and design thinking is required.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and must be well-organized and able to multi-task effectively.
