Connected Ecosystems Integration – Infotainment Apps Testing and Validation Engineer.


As our world become more connected we need our vehicles to reflect that as well.  Connected EcoSystems gives us that opportunity to enhance the customer experience by providing real-time updates through the cloud and give the latest and greatest information to the autonomous vehicle.  In this position you would get the chance to work on the most advanced and connected technology of the autonomous vehicle.  You’ll have to use some “outside the box” problem solving to identify and remove roadblocks while leading a cross-functional team.    


You will be a Global technical leader in the Connected Infotainment/Telematics Product space within GM. This position requires knowledge of connected infotainment/Telematics systems, Back-Office systems and vehicle electrical architecture (i.e. the End to End (E2E) Eco system).  You will have an opportunity to advance GM global validation landscape and will be playing a key role to transform validation methodologies from End to End perspective. 

You will be a single point of contact to ensure flawless vehicle and back-office integration for all current and future connected systems. You will need to exercise and apply both independent and team approaches working across organizations in a creative, robust, efficient manner while under general guidance and direction from Manager.


  • Lead cross functional E2E Infotainment In-Vehicle App. validation 
  • Plan, define and execute infotainment In-Vehicle App validation execution to ensure flawless App launch across all MY's 
  • Track upcoming Back-Office releases, IT change requests and new feature content rolout to assess validation impacts 
  • Completely setup, configure and maintain Info.3.0 & NGI benches 
  • Trouble shoot hardware issues 
  • Review back-office requirements (i.e. Stories/Narratives) and create/modify test strategy, test plan, test scripts and test scenarios 
  • Prepare App specific validation strategy, communicate, review and obtain approval from stake holders 
  • Execute test cases and generate daily/weekly execution status reports 
  • Perform risk assessment and come up with risk mitigation plan/strategy to meet tight deadlines
  • Ensure test data and validation bench is setup correctly prior to execution
  • Mentor and coach validation team in all aspects of connected Infotainment In-Vehicle Apps domain validation 
  • Escalate and lead mission critical issues to help drive resolution in timely manner
  • Involve in triaging defects and take them to closure 


  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering
  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • 2-3 years of Testing/Validation in the Vehicle or the Back Office system
  • 3+ years of successful connected Infotainment experience, including direct knowledge and “hands on” involvement in the launch and delivery of Global infotainment products and working knowledge of industry standard Infotainment and telematics systems
  • Knowledge of practices and methods used to validate End-to-End Connected Systems
  • Working knowledge of major Automotive Subsystems and Back-Office protocols
  • Experience in writing complex SQL query
  • Experience with CAN bus messages, NeoVi fire, VehicleSpy, OCC Sim tools
  • Completely setup, configure and maintain Info3.0 & NGI Benches
  • Trouble shoot hardware issues
  • This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis
