We invite qualified applicants for the role of Information Security Analyst. This role is part of the Information Security team within Global Information Technology. This role is essential in developing and building systems capable of monitoring security controls, policies and procedures, and a variety of cyber security activities. As part of this team you will be tasked to develop and engineer policies which meet Colgate’s business needs.


Primary Responsibilities:

● Full lifecycle support of Information Security policies, standards and guidelines:

○ Maintaining document and control processes

○ Authoring and updating policies, standards and guidelines

○ Alignment of documents with regulatory requirements

○ Addressing gaps and deficiencies in existing policies and procedures

○ Facilitating security design reviews and associated approval processes

○ Maintaining centralized online document library

● Raise awareness about Colgate’s Information Security policies throughout the business and the Global IT organization.

● Liaison with Colgate’s Global Development organization to ensure all applications adhere to the security policies and guidelines.

● Develop and monitor security procedures, practices and policies within all corporate system environments.

Maintains standard operation procedures in reviewing the state of application security on all platforms and reports on the current state of systems security.

● Review security features of newly implemented systems, ensuring they meet existing security requirements and policies. Review proposed changes to existing policy as conditions warrant.

● Development of an Information Security Awareness program within the corporation. Provides security policy and procedure information to employees as needed including developing training and awareness seminars on various security topics.

● Maintain knowledge of industry standards and best practices involving security, including identification of solutions to mitigate risk. ● Engage with internal/external auditors in support of application security activities


Basic ​Qualifications


● Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Engineering

● Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT organization developing, configuring, and implementing database management solutions (or equivalent)

● Demonstrated experience in the delivery and integration of a broad range of critical core applications

● Rapidly learn, employ and evaluate security technologies such as Antivirus, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, Data protection, security information and event management, and identity management


Preferred ​Qualifications


● Experience with Cyber security forensics tools and methodologies

● Knowledge or Experience with Firewalls, Proxy Servers and VPNs

● Knowledge or Experience of security certificates & public key infrastructure

● Knowledge and ability to investigate and debug at multiple OSI layers Key​ ​Competencies

● Ability to quickly assimilate new technologies and tools is a mandatory skill set for this team.

● Ability to think with a security mindset.


The successful candidate must have a strong IT background with in depth knowledge of several key security practice areas: access control; application security; network security; security architecture; cyber security strategy


● Some knowledge of application architecture, DevOps and secure coding practices is required.

● Experience in understanding and deploying operating risk management frameworks is preferred.

● Experience with risk assessments including heat maps, control gaps, compliance monitoring, testing, risk remediation, and mitigation.

● Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to interact directly with others that do not have a technical background.
