OVERALL SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Promotion Planning Coordinator is to assist the planning and strategy team with the development and analysis of on-channel campaigns for HBO and Cinemax programming. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Become an expert with internal systems to effectively manage promotional campaigns for long range planning

  • Liaise with creative marketing coordinators on long range asset updates for up to 30+ on-air campaigns

  • Extrapolate insights from data via pre-built reports to inform campaign targets, post-campaign analysis and ad-hoc requests/projects

  • Research and highlight competitive promotional strategies and provide a monthly update to the promo planning and scheduling department

  • Prep monthly campaign data transfer to Nielsen to ensure 100% accuracy and troubleshoot when necessary

  • Lead weekly status meeting providing team with updates to ensure asset delivery is in alignment with promotion plan

  • Brainstorm promotional adjacencies to provide informed recommendations for campaign launch

  • Export GRP targets for scheduling teams 


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 years marketing/media experience at a media company or advertising agency preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ideal candidate has the ability to understand and effectively navigate departmental structures and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization

  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Google Docs (Excel a must!)

  • Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently while being a team player

  • Must be organized, driven, enthusiastic and analytical 

  • Experience with Audience Research metrics, Reach / Frequency planning or Digital Analytics a plus 

  • A passion for entertainment/television and strong knowledge of media landscape and the competitive market
