Primary market served is Home Care, but Chelates are also used in Industrial applications and Agricultural Chemicals. Formula for Success: You Will…
  • Work closely with Strategic Marketing teams of all Strategic Business Units (SBUs) relevant for their product portfolio (and other ODs for transfer products) to ensure that product and market views are aligned.
  • Translate SBU strategies into long-term product group planning (e.g., global supply/demand, product line plans).
  • Strategically steer product portfolio, define strategic targets (e.g., volume, net sales, cCM1) and monitor supply/demand balance, long-term margins, long-term profitability, and growth.
  • Analyze and manage global portfolio strategic positioning and optimization (in alignment with Strategic Marketing, RBU BM and PM).
  • Identify gaps in the portfolio and potential growth segments (with Strategic Marketing).
  • Ensure link with EMT for the definition of long-term operations/sourcing and EM/L on planning.
  • Support EMT global site footprint optimization projects and propose prioritization of capacity extensions/debottlenecking.
  • Support development and monitor implementation of IP strategies and guidelines for use of existing IP.
  • Initiate global alignment of product qualities and specifications in case of multi-site production products (if possible).
  • Collaborate with EMT to optimize global material flow (capacity utilization vs. cost situation) and global site footprint optimization projects.
  • Prepare global sales plan with input from RBUs and share it with EMT for the definition of long-term production and sourcing planning (15-year plan, annual figures, to be updated once a year).
  • Create long-term CAPEX plans together with EMT to enable growth.
  • Support Commission S projects, including preparation of marketing statement and provision of global supply/demand balance
  • Assess possibilities and define guidelines for tolling. Prepare co-manufacturing agreements and strategic product contracts with RBUs for EMT and EM/C.
  • Facilitate global know-how transfer and provide required tools for updates.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required; advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of industry experience in marketing, technology, asset, and/or business management required.
  • Solid business acumen.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in strategy and/or demonstrated strategic thinking is preferred.
  • Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams within a global matrix organization.
  • Solid understanding of both commercial and technical business complexities.
