Now this is where you come in…Where the Chemistry Happens… We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Florham Park, NJ site. You will provide financial analysis and decision support to the North American Region. As Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying and interpreting trends and forming recommendations for value added actions to enhance growth and profitability of the region. Additionally, the Analyst will serve as the analytical expert utilizing a combination of Global Business Warehouses (GBW) and local tools with a focus on data transparency and analytics. This position reports to the Manager, Strategic Platform Controller in Florham Park, NJ. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to senior management, operational business units and functional leads throughout North America. This role will require the incumbent to build effective working relationships with Regional BU and functional controllers. A combination of strong internal and external relationships from both the operational and functional organization will be required to gain insight into business objectives, financial and market developments. A demonstrated ability to source data from Global Business Warehouses (GBWs) and the relevant financial applications/ forecasting databases is critical. Financial Analyst (1700621) You will focus on both fixed and functional cost controlling topics including planning, forecasting and variance analysis as well as the implementation of new operating models (FFPG) and related organizational structure. You will need to demonstrate a strong ability to influence peers and be able to engage management at every level. Provide month end analysis/reporting including the preparation of monthly financial reports, financial forecasting and planning process for North America
Support of key regional and global initiatives
Serve as the expert user of Global COINS (cost center reporting system) application and point of contact within functional controlling community
Provide analysis of fixed costs and allocations within the region
Liaise with functional and business unit controlling community regarding functional cost projects, trends and analysis.
Analyze and benchmark competitors' financial results against internal performance
Prepare commentary to support analysis of both monthly and forward looking projections.
Analyze and understand both legal entity and consolidated business steering financials (e.g. Market Profit) with a focus on fixed costs.

Bachelor's degree required. Concentration in Finance or Economics or MBA preferred.
Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance
Chemical industry experience, a plus.
Strong entrepreneurial and leadership potential with ability to take on greater responsibility in future roles; strong analytical and strategic thinking, organizational awareness, demonstrated ability to influence management. Effective communication and collaboration skills are critical
Ability to foster relationships with the business and functional units including but not limited to senior levels of management; Ability to work within tight deadlines and effectively manage multiple tasks under pressure
Proven ability to develop process improvements and execute the same
Excellent PC skills and advanced Excel/Power Point required; Knowledge of SAP, GBW, Maris, Business Objects and Tableau preferred.
