Overall Purpose: Performs advanced confidential administrative duties for one or more direct reports to the Chairman who serve in a chief executive capacity of a business segment or company that is part of the Corporation.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Exercises discretion and independent judgment on key issues by assisting the senior leader who is a direct report to the Chairman in management of daily activities. Authorized duties include interacting with top-level contacts on highly sensitive information necessitating considerable use of tact, reasoning skills and diplomacy, and communicating and interacting with executive, administrative and line management personnel, external customers, large investors, board members, dignitaries, media and vendors. Reviews and prioritizes communications (electronic, oral and written) and determines appropriate action to take, including responding directly, preparing draft response for executives review or delegating to other executives for response preparation, without advance approval. Schedules meetings and appointments, plans executives participation without advance approval; authorized to conduct or assign to other executives appointments or meetings not requiring executives participation. Composes correspondence, presentations, and reports using a variety of computer software. Prioritizes assignments and tasks under general direction and has authority to delegate assignments and tasks. May perform a variety of administrative duties such as processing bills, vouchers, requests, payroll, personnel, and budgets. May coordinate requests for workspace, service, and office equipment and other programs such as charitable campaigns, employee recognition and records retention. Provides guidance for other executive assistants and managers in the organization regarding administrative practices.

Education: Typically HS Diploma or equivalent is needed.

Experience: Typically 3 or more years relevant experience in area of responsibility.
