POSITION: EMS Program Director –temporary position

QUALIFICATIONS: Required Education/ Work Experience:
1. Paramedic with 2 years of field experience
2. Associate’s degree
3. Additional coursework towards obtaining Bachelor’s degree.
Required License/ Certification:
1. Licensed Paramedic with the State of Alabama
2. Certified Department of Transportation instructor or ability to obtain certification within first semester of employment.
3. Certified CPR instructor or ability to obtain certification within first semester of employment.
Other Special Qualifications/ Requirements of the job:
1. International Trauma Life Support instructor or ability to obtain certification within first year of employment.
2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor or ability to obtain certification within first year of employment.
3. Emergency Vehicle Operator instructor or ability to obtain certification within first year of employment.
4. Pediatric Advanced Life Support instructor OR Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals Coordinator or ability to obtain certification within first year of employment.
5. Traumatic Brain Injury instructor (NOT REQUIRED) or ability to obtain certification within first year of employment.

POSITION SUMMARY: The EMS program director shall be responsible for the coordination and promotion of the EMS program at Enterprise State Community College. As such, the director shall be the chief contact between the college and all national, state, and local agencies regarding EMS matters.

SALARY: Salary Schedule H20 $7,869 - $22,793 (20-24 hours per week)
