eDiscovery Legal Analyst


Description

Cox Enterprises is seeking an eDiscovery Legal Analyst who will support the Cox Enterprises Litigation Center of Excellence in providing best in class in-house eDiscovery services, such as litigation holds, coordinating with IT and working with outside eDiscovery consultants.
  • Support eDiscovery Manager in Legal Hold process across the enterprise from issuance to release.
  • Assist litigation support resources assigned to each matter, including budget forecasts.
  • Coordinate large document collections in connection with litigation and government investigations through eDiscovery teams.
  • Direct responsibility for, and involvement in, custodian interviews once a litigation hold is issued
  • Conduct legal (or other) research as requested, including Lexis/Nexis, Pacer or other tools.
  • Coordinate document production process including coordination of document production reviews, privilege logs and electronic discovery logs with preferred vendors and outside counsel.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel in the preparation of Electronic Stipulation Information (“ESI”) pleadings, Protective Orders and other pleadings related to the management of the eDiscovery process
  • Collaboration with IT, Data Security and Regulatory/Compliance staff, in addition to business clients, outside counsel, divisional legal teams, and e-Discovery vendors as it relates to e-Discovery requirements/needs
  • Assist in reporting eDiscovery costs through eBilling software to business clients
  • Assist in data disposition for all closed cases across the enterprise
  • High level of proficiency with technology including Litigation Support Applications (e.g. Relativity platform or other hosting technologies), Legal Hold applications, eBilling applications (e.g. CounselLink), Pacer, Lexis/Nexis, and other internet research tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications (excel, word and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of litigation discovery across the EDRM model
  • Must be proactive and a good planner who is very detail-oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize
  • Display a strong client service orientation with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions
  • Demonstrated strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively.
  • Ability to work independently, taking initiative to move projects to conclusion.
  • Demonstrated good judgment, integrity, confidentiality of business client information and understanding business values and ethics.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred/equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of litigation experience required
  • eDiscovery experience in a law firm/legal environment required
