About the Position: Finance Excellence, Change Management (CMO) provides oversight, project management, and process excellence to all ongoing finance change management projects. Serves as a key leader in driving cultural change in Finance through the development and implementation of the CMO methodology. Responsible for resolving or escalating change management project issues to Finance leadership. Adapts and learns new project initiatives to aid and provide support in the change process. Experienced at delivering change management projects across a cross-functional, geographically dispersed organization. Reports to the VP, Finance Excellence and is accountable for consistent change methodology delivery within the Finance function, partners with finance to identify change management opportunities and establish timelines. Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Provides oversight to change management projects within Finance by developing and implementing change methodology, and leading cultural adoption throughout Finance. Partners with Project Management Office (PMO), Process Excellence (PEX) and the business to identify long-term change management initiatives throughout the business. Creates business cases to support change by identifying level of change and resources to implement change successfully. Partners with stakeholders to assess and document change readiness and uses expertise to find creative and effective approaches on the delivery of change management. Responsible for reviewing change management activities across Finance to understand impact to the business and employees. Partners closely with PMO work streams to develop change activities and key deliverables for change management strategies. Elevates potential change risks to PMO, Finance leadership and other departments. Sets direction for change management projects, including defining future state, evaluating change impacts, developing change strategy and plans that includes stakeholder engagement, communications and trainings. Partners with the PMO, Finance function(s), Human Resources and other areas inside the business to ensure effective implementation of the change management plan. Responsible for assisting in the documentation of change management communications and processes to ensure adherence to internal control guidelines. Develops and creates risk mitigation strategies to reduce change impacts to Finance. Leverages knowledge of finance processes to provide guidance and feedback when developing project plans. Effectively communicates change management processes and potential finance organization risks to senior leadership. Measures change initiatives by leading pulse surveys and developing metrics to track long-term implementation of change. Provides counsel to employees, manages third party consultants and contractors, and advises senior leaders as necessary. Builds and manages results-driven teams by taking a strategic and technical view of performance management by involving employees in change management planning, relationship building, decision-making and project management and process excellence processes. Accountable for ensuring teams adhere and support financial and non-financial controls. Qualifications Knowledge & experience in the following areas is preferable: Change management project scope and roadmap development. Change management strategies. Finance project management. Finance Process Excellence. Project financial and budget management. Risk mitigation. Effective business partnerships. Project timelines with competing priorities maintenance. End-to-end process management. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred with a minimum of 10 years in change management, project management , and/or process excellence roles with increasing responsibility. Knowledge of finance processes to provide guidance and feedback when developing project plans. Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale projects across a complex finance organization. Background in utility service business activities and projects. Proven experience managing risks and issues across projects and programs. Effective collaboration and partnership capabilities. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent written / oral communication skills, follow-up, and negotiation skills. Ability to build and develop teams of multi-skilled financial professional.
