Deputy Director, Regional Strategy, Governance and Project Management-LATAM Region

The primary responsibilities of this role, Deputy Director, Regional Strategy, Governance and Project Management-LATAM Region, are to: 

 

  • Play a key role in providing subject matter strategic business support to the Regional Management Team;
  • Responsible for the diverse and advanced strategic and operational / administrative duties working in highly confidential business information;
  • Initiate and conduct strategic project i.e. portfolio pruning, governance process review etc. either independently or under supervision of regional president and/or member of the regional leadership team;
  • Facilitate key corporate strategic review process in the region i.e. StraCo, HPR review;
  • Create, implement and develop metrics and key business indicators and generate diagnoses sales processes for improvements & collaborate with support teams to further enhance sales processes;
  • Develop sales strategies, market segmentation, territory alignment and tactical tools and processes that support the business strategy;
  • Facilitate business performance measurement by setting and monitoring a KPIs dashboard (Financial, Marketing and Enabling Functions KPIs) to follow-up on Integrated Brand Plan and business operations;
  • Organize and attend business reviews, brand reviews for the regional president, facilitate meetings and follow up on the action points;
  • Accountable for coordinating regional leadership meetings including travel arrangements and special events involving multiple Senior Management Executives for the LatAm Regional team and visitors from Germany and all over the world inside and outside Bayer;
  • Follow up, coordinate and arrange activities and meetings to ensure project deadlines are completed as planned;
  • Ensure that key business tasks and activities are consistently running smoothly;
  • Provide subject matter expertise support on strategic business management and provide specialized advice on both, strategic background and the administrative operation of the Region LatAm business and research alternatives for processes when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Project Management, Sales & Marketing or Consulting in commercial health care field;
  • Self-starter;
  • Must be flexible, proactive and ability to take initiative;
  • Must have broad business understanding of Sales & Marketing, Controlling and related business functions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish;
  • Well-developed analytical capabilities and presentation skills;
  • Must be comfortable discussing office issues / improvements with personnel at all levels;
  • Advanced computer skills required with knowledge of such applications as Word, PPT, Excel and Outlook;
  • Ability to work well in a complex and high level team environment;
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations, respecting confidentially;
  • Ability to travel approximately 60%.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and German;
  • Experience with SFE processes and CRM systems.
