Data Remediation - Analytic Consultant 3

Job Description

This newly created role will report into the Data Issues Remediation team, within the Enterprise Data Remediation (EDR) organization. The EDR organization is tasked with managing a centralized function that provides a scalable, sustainable and transparent model for data issue management and remediation. With an initial focus on risk and regulatory reporting, the team will engage across the enterprise to ensure a consistent approach that aligns to the enterprise strategic objectives and complies with enterprise policies.

As a member of the Data Issues Remediation team, this role will partner across EDR and with line of business partners to assess, provide oversight and/or remediate data issues across the Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Participate in small and medium data issue remediation efforts for risk and regulatory reporting requirements, business data needs and business processes that impact the Enterprise.
  • Act as a key resource during the in depth analysis and sizing of small and medium priority data issues, understanding the impact of each issue to Risk and Regulatory reports.
  • Participate in the design of near term solutions where appropriate. Solutions may require solving for a combination of policy and process gaps, designing new tools / systems or enhancing existing tools / systems, enhancing or correcting reporting logic, modifying data feeds, and / or correcting or enhancing data controls. While ensuring that near term and long term solutions satisfy both the needs and requirements of the Regulators, and the data needs and strategy of Wells Fargo.
  • Participate in the development of prototypes or proof-of-concepts as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (including but not limited to technology partners) to define requirements and drive the implementation of solutions that resolve data issues.
  • Provide data analysis support to audit and regulatory agencies, as necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 3+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both
  • 3+ years of data management experience
  • 1+ year of SQL experience
  • 1+ year of banking industry experience

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience performing analysis leveraging SQL or other techniques to extract data from data warehousing platforms
  • Experience in Regulatory Reporting Data Remediation

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
