Job Description

The Wells Fargo Commercial Capital group combines Wells Fargo’s asset-based lending businesses to create a streamlined approach for customers incorporating their company’s assets into flexible financing solutions.

Position Summary:

  • Organizes and leads broad initiatives to ensure that data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes.
  • Consults with and provides recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility.
  • Identifies and recommends analysis of data quality/integrity issues and recommends remediation of process/control gaps that align to management strategy.
  • Identifies new data sources and develops recommendations for assessing the quality of new data.
  • Establish recommendations for optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues.
  • Evaluates data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality.
  • Adhere to data governance standards and procedures.
  • May represent client in cross-functional groups to develop organization-wide data governance strategies.
  • May oversee analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements.
  • Leads project teams and mentors lower level staff members.
  • Maintain CDF Metadata repository and automation of Impact Analysis routines.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to all applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of data analysis, experience, data management experience, or a combination of both
  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or project management

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including senior leadership/management
  • Customer service focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend customer issues/needs, and recommend solutions
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial industry compliance requirements
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Master Data Management frameworks
  • Experience with Data Control Assessments and data integrity metrics
  • Background in CDF Business, Process or Applications
  • Experience with financial industry compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with WF Enterprise Data Governance program
  • Understanding of Wholesale core services iHub, WCIS, WDM, PV
