KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS):
This is an opportunity to join the Wholesale Group Risk Office (WGRO) as a Compliance Consultant.  The Compliance Consultant will work with Wholesale risk managers to provide guidance as well as credible challenge to ensure Wholesale meets its regulatory compliance risk management responsibilities related to risk identification and assessment.  The Compliance Consultant will be responsible for supporting the Wholesale Group Chief Compliance Officer’s responsibilities in the proposed Regulatory Change Governance Standards going into effect 1Q18.  The consultant, along with their Compliance Manager, will work closely and in strong partnership with various business lines, Corporate Compliance colleagues, subject matter experts in the GCCO and other risk disciplines to implement and refine the process of risk identification and assessment. The consultant also may assist in other regulatory projects or initiatives as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee reporting, remediation and resolution of Regulatory Change Updates and LOB dispositions in the regulatory change tracking tool, EARL, by Wholesale LOBs.
  • Assist in hosting bi-weekly meetings with LOB contacts and implement other oversight functions to assist with Regulatory Change Management Governance
  • Conduct appropriate risk-based impact analysis for applicability of regulatory changes to Wholesale business activities, processes, systems, etc.
  • Ensure action plans are completed by Wholesale LOBs to develop or enhance controls as needed with appropriate timelines and mitigate regulatory compliance risk
  • Work with the GCCO team on regulatory projects or initiatives throughout the year.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both
  • 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: additional compliance, additional operational risk management, IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience; or a BS/BA degree or higher in business or a related field

  • Wells Fargo Risk Management Systems such as SHRP – Issues Management, Regulatory Risk Assessment, RCSA
