Communications Coordinator

Nielsen's Watch (Media) segment provides audience measurement solutions to media and advertiser clients to help capture how people engage with content and ads across devices and platforms. From broadcast networks to streaming services to brands, Nielsen helps clients understand and manage the evolving modern media landscape.


The Communications Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance and coordination for the US Media business’ internal and external initiatives. This person will offer planning and project management support for key strategic communications efforts including establishing Nielsen’s digital audience measurement products and solutions in the market. This role will report to the Director of Communications for U.S. Media.


Responsibilities:


  • Support the Watch team to execute on impactful communications for Nielsen stakeholders including associates, clients and/or investors

  • Work cross-functionally to provide coordination and assistance for major communications initiatives from internal communications to external announcements

  • Manage weekly and quarterly internal publications for the Watch organization

  • Provide social media and content marketing support for major announcements

  • Project manage various communications and marketing activities including town halls, internal webinars, video shoots with associates and senior leadership, etc.

  • Conduct media monitoring, maintain media lists/ publication access and provide operational assistance for other team communications resources

  • Provide ongoing operational/administrative assistance in support of the broader US Watch Communications team


  • Bachelor’s Degree (English, Journalism, Communications or related field)

  • 1-3 years of related communications work experience

  • Professional experience and/or internships in fast-paced environments

  • Proven experience communicating effectively both written and verbally

  • Google Suite proficiency (Slides, Docs, Sheets, etc.) or similar programs as well as PowerPoint

  • Self-starter, takes initiatives

  • Excellent Organizational skills

  • Strong Project management skills
