Job Description

Flood Case Specialist/ Loan Trade Support Specialist is an operations team within Wholesale Loan Services that supports multiple loan trading desks within Wholesale Banking.

  • Act as liaison between Principle Investments (PI)/Loan and Distressed Sales and Trading (LDST) desks, flood operations, agent bank entities.
  • Communicate with Admin Agent to secure required documentions using electronic sharing sites.
  • Retrieve, review, and submit documents to support the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA) to WLS Flood Operations team
  • Coordinate between PI/LDST and WLS flood operations to ensure all required information is provided in a timely manner
  • Perform the loan administration function for the PI/LDST portfolios and book/reconcile all P&L and interest/fees
  • Reviewing trade settlement documentation and working with the middle office to resolve discrepancies quickly
  • Work with finance groups and controllers to reconcile accounting issues
  • Work well with others in a team environment and offer assistance to others to help balance the workload

Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of loan administration experience, loan servicing experience or a combination of both; or 3+ years of experience with syndicated/agency loan servicing

  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines

  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exposure to Wells Fargo Loan IQ system
  • Good PC skills with the aptitude to learn new systems quickly
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking or finance; in commercial/corporate lending and underwriting
  • Knowledge and understanding of syndicated lending, agency and loan trading
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
