Program Overview

The Comcast Center Cooperative Internship Program (Co-op) is a six-month internship program based in the greater Philadelphia area. The program is designed to identify high-caliber talent to build our organization with the best and the brightest students who come from a variety of sourcing channels, including on-campus career fairs, partner organizations, and direct applications. In this role you will immerse yourself into the Comcast culture, working side by side with innovative and talented Comcasters. You will cultivate meaningful relationships and develop strong interpersonal and business skills that will set you apart from your peers.

Additionally, your experience will include:

-Engagement: Working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units at Comcast during your cooperative experience.

-Exposure: An inside look into the day-to-day operations of an organization at the cutting edge of media and technology.

Role Overview

National Technical Operations and Engineering provides leadership and guidance to all divisions from a Technical Operations and Engineering standpoint. This role will aid in providing data to both the National Technical Operations team as well as all three divisions regarding technician performance, areas of opportunity for increased productivity, efficiency, and a better overall customer experience.Co-Op Student will be responsible for working cross-functionally to collect data and assist with developing models to determine trends utilizing a variety of data sources. Imports, cleans, transforms, or manipulates data with the purpose of understanding and making conclusions from the data. Works under general supervision and may require training and detailed instructions for assigned tasks.

Co-op duties to include, but not limited to:

-Determines relevancy of data and identifies alternative data sources as need be to ensure analytics requests by business owners and technical associates will be completed.

-Analyzes large, complex data to determine actionable business insights using self-service analytics and reporting tools.

-Performs basic research on root cause of data anomalies that are uncovered through normal course of analysis.

-Queries large data platforms such as Teradata, SQL server, and Oracle to obtain data necessary for analysis.

-Participates in defining business intelligence requirements for projects and data requests.

-Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements

-Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university that has a 6 month Cooperative learning track (Sophomores, Pre-Juniors & Juniors preferred).

-Major: Business & Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Software Engineering, Engineering Technology, Software Engineering

-Minimum GPA: 3.0

-Big Data course completion required

-Strong interest in the telecommunications, cable and media industries.

-Ability to work on a team.

-Authorized to work in the United States of America.
