Business Systems Consultant 5

Job Description

The Compensation Team is looking for a highly skilled Business Systems Consultant to provide strategic business solutions to enterprise-wide technology initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Technology Teams to analyze and design FA Compensation solutions.
  • Work with business partners to provide training, resolve questions, assess needs, and recommend changes.
  • Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
  • Prepare specifications for system changes. Recommend and initiate systems testing.
  • Provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Manage relationship with our partners to maintain trust in our platform and confidence in our ability to provide top quality software products throughout our various projects.
  • Work with IT management to identify, plan and track concurrent efforts related to FA Compensation.
  • Participate in transforming strategic enterprise architecture and design principles into specific system requirements and specifications.
Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of trade lifecycle
  • Ability to prepare and present senior level communications
  • Knowledge and understanding of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies
  • Ability to work cohesively and collaborate with analytic functions throughout the organization
  • Ability to drive the requirements process with both technical and business partners
  • Experience designing and optimizing complex SQL queries involving table joins and correlated sub-queries on large scale data tables
  • Financial services industry experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills
  • Experience operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
  • Experience facilitating meetings with participants at various levels of experience in different lines of business
  • Ability to develop and manage business relationships
