Business Systems Consultant 5

Job Description

The position is for a senior business analyst. The candidate should have a financial services background in capital markets. The candidate should also have a very good understanding of technology concepts and how systems integrate/interface with each other. The candidate will work closely with Compliance and Ops Risk to identify functional gaps, gather requirements, create functional systems design documents, and work with the development/QA teams to implement technology solutions. The candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as possess a positive, winning attitude that can adapt and work in a dynamic work environment. The candidate will be challenged with shifting priorities, plan changes, etc., but will be part of the larger plan to implement strategic platforms for Wells Fargo Securities Compliance and Operational Risk organizations.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 5+ years of business systems analysis or design experience
  • 3+ years of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
  • 3+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • 5+ years of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
  • 3+ years of experience leading the requirement design process with both technical and business partners
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 1+ year of JIRA experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience capturing/documenting requirements, creating documentation, collaborating with technology development teams, and implementing systems
  • Ability to drive the requirements process with both technical and business partners
  • Experience developing dashboards/reports in analytic tools like Tableau, QlikView, Cognos, etc.
  • SQL proficiency to troubleshoot issues or create ad-hoc reports
  • Advanced data skills, ability to talk in terms of data attributes/tables
  • Experience using issue tracking tools like Clear Case, Jira, ALM, etc.
  • Functional, working knowledge of capital markets concepts, terminologies, trade life cycles, etc.
