POSITION SUMMARY:

BU Continuous Improvement Consultant

Charlotte, NC or Denver, CO Scope/Knowledge:
  • Support key divisional, departmental, or cross-functional continuous improvement efforts ensuring that clear targets, goals and expectations are established, tracked, and communicated.
  • Support the development of linkages to ensure alignment and accountability regarding continuous improvement within the business community.
  • Provide Continuous Improvement content expertise and consultation to business unit, departmental, and unit continuous improvement efforts.
  • Monitor action plans resulting from process improvement activities.
  • Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of and appreciation for change management and communication.
Job Complexity:
  • Understand linkages between divisional strategies and drivers and process improvement programs.
  • Ability to execute aggressive yet achievable goals and monitor and drive to results.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and training skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening skills.
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver.
  • Provides individual consulting and advisory expertise.
Interaction:
  • Collaborate with key corporate, business unit and divisional partners, for the delivery of results and establishment of a culture of continuous improvement (e.g. Change Management, Communications).
  • Collaborate with company leaders to ensure that the intended benefits are achieved. This will include working in conjunction with various finance partners to monitor and ensure that, when appropriate, the savings are achieved.
Oversight/Freedom to Act:
  • Ability to support company-wide or cross-functional continuous improvement projects/programs with minimum expert leadership from others.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience required.
  • Six Sigma, LEAN or equivalent certification, experience leading and projection execution
  • Experience working in the Financial Industry and understanding of client value streams
  • Process improvement, change management, and/or project management experience utilizing Lean principles required. (3 years of experience preferred)


Preferred:

  • Experience in working with Robotics/coding or IT industry is a plus
  • Experience supporting corporate, divisional or department-wide continuous improvement projects/programs.
  • Knowledge in continuous improvement tools and processes.
  • Experience supporting/implementing Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles required.
  • Proven ability to support teams of a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds to achieve significant results.
