Biostatistics Analyst

Altria Client Services’ role is to help Altria Group and its operating companies responsibly meet their business goals by providing the high quality services they require in a financially disciplined way. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Biostatistics Analyst to join Clinical Studies department in Richmond, VA.

The successful candidate will provide statistical support for clinical research studies.

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Providing statistical support in study design (e.g. statistical justification of primary endpoint, sample size estimation, randomization plan) for clinical studies
  • Assisting in the development of statistical sections in clinical study protocol
  • Assisting in the development of Statistical Analysis Plan
  • Assisting in the management of Clinical Research Organizations (CRO) in statistical services including timelines, review statistical deliverables and provide review comments
  • Assisting in the preparation of statistical sections in clinical study reports
  • Presenting statistical results and interpretations in meetings

    Specific Skills

    Qualifications include:

  • MS degree with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience or BS degree with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Advanced degree in biostatistics, biometrics, statistics or related field preferred.
  • Experience with clinical research. Prefer experience with clinical research in industry settings.
  • Demonstrated SAS statistical programming skills
  • Experience with common SAS statistical procedures including PROC GLM, PROC MIXED and PROC GENMOD
  • Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Good time management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Must be available to travel 10-15% of the time.
