Bilingual Content Editor/Rewriter for Mundo Hispanico



The content editor/rewriter is responsible for populating content according to guidance by the content director and keeping within Mundo Hispanico’s vision and goal. 

The editor is responsible for assigning and/or writing, editing and optimizing content as well as posting the content on each social network once published, ensuring that the information is accurate and conveys the true voice and tone for the site.

The editor is responsible for scheduling posts in advance, maintaining a calendar and requesting content from our contributor network.

The editor is also responsible for social engagement and monitoring of comments on their posts.

Editor is responsible for coming up with engaging visual elements.

He is also responsible for maintaining communication and relationships with the contributors. 

This role calls for an excellent writer, who must be bilingual and able to write, rewrite and post stories in Spanish. Strong knowledge of writing styles and grammar in Spanish is required.


Writing and coordinating content in writing and video/photo for MundoHispanico website.

  • Coming up with engaging visual elements as videos, audio and photo galleries.
  • The person should be able to rewrite trending and viral stories for our website.
  • She has to be able to edit video and shoot video when needed.
  • Coordinate all the elements of the stories with the authors and request changes if needed.
  • Review headlines for optimization.
  • Ensure that all the news into WordPress server comply with the rules of posting (links, focus keyword, snippets, etc.)

 Social media editing and posting of stories.

  • Review the social media postings of Mundo Hispanico and ensure that every one is consistent with the social media network where it is posted.
  • Needs to be able to write and edit headlines and posts as needed. Needs strong knowledge of the Spanish grammar.
  • The person will have the capability of writing interesting teases, headlines.
  • Needs to stay up to date on new tools and trends in social media.

Coordination of national network of writers.

  • Maintaining communication and relationships with the contributors. 
  • Coordinate contributor’s stories as to find the right balance for Mundo Hispanico vision.
  • Scheduling posts in advance, maintaining a calendar and requesting content from our contributor network when needed.



·       Associate or Bachelor's degree in communication or related field emphasizing storytelling and multimedia creation is required.



·       2-5 years of journalism and experience in the creation of visual contents.

·        Minimum of two years of experience on the web, with knowledge of SEO and history of optimizing articles/stories for search in the Spanish language and with focus on the Latino audience.
