Where the Chemistry Happens...


For the summer of 2017, the Legal Department of BASF Corporation is seeking a summer intern. The selected 1L will have the opportunity to work side by side for ten weeks with in-house attorneys and legal professionals at the North American Headquarters of BASF Corporation, Florham Park, NJ.


Applicants of all backgrounds are considered and encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will receive compensation for the ten-week internship period

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You...

  • Currently enrolled as a first-year law student in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school
  • Demonstrated top academic performance (Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2)
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, communication (including presentation), attention to detail and writing skills;
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding work ethic with a desire to learn and acquire new knowledge/skills
  • Ability to successfully balance multiple tasks and effectively meet deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to work in a strong team-oriented environment
  • Excellent judgment and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience using electronic legal research methods preferred
  • Ability to work in a technical environment; science and/ or technical background a plus
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion
