AT&T - Senior-System Engineer - Middletown, NJ

DUTIES:         Translate business needs into technical solutions and define solutions to problems through reasoned application of information technology. Perform Requirements Analysis, High Level Design, and System Integration in the OSS Telecom Service Assurance Domain. Perform Service Quality Management (SQM), Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management, Fault Management (FM), Performance Management (PM), Trouble Ticketing, Inventory Management, and Workforce Management. Transform requirements into High Level Designs for emerging wireless technologies including VoLTE, LTE, and UMTS. Provide service assurance solutions for wireline and wireless technologies including GSM, GPRS, DSL, VoIP, WiMAX, and CDMA. Perform system integration and configuration of OSS Service Assurance Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Applications such as IBM Tivoli Netcool Service Quality Management (TNSQM), IBM Maximo, IBM Netcool, Crystal and Cognos reports, and IBM Requisite Pro. Work with eTOM, TMN, ITIL, and FCAPS standards. Work closely with business users, vendors, research, development teams, testing teams, and external applications team. Design, develop, document, and analyze overall architecture of database systems, including hardware and software. Determine integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Coordinate design and integration of total database system including subsystems. Develop technical documentation on applications and systems. Research and recommend technology to improve the current systems. Develop new concepts, methods, and techniques for cross functional initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering and Software Engineering and three (3) years experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing Requirements Analysis, High Level Design, and System Integration in the OSS Telecom Service Assurance Domain; performing Service Quality Management (SQM), Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management, Fault Management (FM), Performance Management (PM), Trouble Ticketing, Inventory Management, and Workforce Management; transforming requirements into High Level Designs for emerging wireless technologies including VoLTE, LTE, and UMTS; providing service assurance solutions for wireline and wireless technologies including GSM, GPRS, DSL, VoIP, WiMAX, and CDMA; performing system integration and configuration of OSS Service Assurance Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Applications such as IBM Tivoli Netcool Service Quality Management (TNSQM), IBM Maximo, IBM Netcool, Crystal and Cognos reports, and IBM Requisite Pro; and working with eTOM, TMN, ITIL, and FCAPS standards.AT&T is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer, and we are committed to hiring a diverse and talented workforce.  EOE/AA/M/F/D/V *np*
