at our headquarters in Richmond, VA. The talented individual we seek will be responsible for analyzing consumer and marketplace information to produce actionable consumer-centric insights that drive our pricing, promotional and trade program effectiveness. HOW YOU WILL IMPACT ALTRIA: Develop analytics to achieve business objectives as a cross-functional team member, working collaboratively within framework of general goals, concepts and policies. Analytics will focus on trade marketing including, pricing, promotional evaluation, trade channel performance, competitive assessment, and brand performance. Provide direction to suppliers based on evolving needs of the business Integrate consumer and marketplace data and analysis from multiple sources to generate consumer-centric insights and provide actionable business recommendations to all levels of management Serve as strategic thinking partner to stakeholders through client relationships and consultative skills
We are seeking a results driven team player with a sound understanding and broad experience in analytical methods. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Understanding of Convenience Retail Channel business processes and procedures 8 years responsible work experience, with strong preference to fast moving consumer goods industry. 5+ years' work experience in producing and analyzing sales and financial data to track sales operations, identify trends, develop projections, and create models. Experience in statistics, data modeling, and marketing analysis High level of proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel & PowerPoint. Working knowledge of SAS, SPSS, Python or R and data visualization and analysis tools such as Tableau. Ability to translate analytical results to business implications excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to mange and develop project pipelines while working on multiple projects and priorities in rapidly changing environment Ability to work in a team environment Strong problem solving, critical and strategic thinking skills, and the creativity to find and try new solutions A sense of urgency and curiosity, and the courage and confidence to debate Strong understanding of marketing strategy, planning issues, resource allocation, and priority setting Graduate degree (MBA or MS in Statistics, Economics, or Analytics) is strongly preferred The Altria Family of Companies includes Philip Morris USA, US Smokeless Tobacco Company, John Middleton, Nu Mark and more.
