Job Description

Wells Fargo Merchant Services specializes in providing solutions such as credit card, debit card; check guarantee, e-commerce and gift cards to businesses of all sizes. WFMS is nationally recognized for its ingenuity and reputation as a leader in the electronics payments industry.

The Merchant Services Development Team uses Visual Basic.NET, T-SQL, and SQL Server 2012 (Database and Reporting Services) to provide mission-critical functionality for our customers. In addition, we have integrated our custom-coded solutions with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 to provide our customers with unique and efficient solutions.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Provides technical support and basic development for computer applications and programs.
  • Under general direction, uses diagnostic tools and/or vendor specifications to troubleshoot moderately complex computer application problems to maintain or restore service or data to programs, resolves moderately complex issues or escalates as needed to meet established service level agreements.
  • Completes required logs and reports.
  • Assists in preparing programming specifications and completes programming tasks to maintain or modify current programs or to develop less complex computer programs.
  • With guidance, tests and debugs applications and programs.
  • Writes queries or code to extract data and/or validate data loads. Updates related documentation and procedures.
  • Understands BCP, quality, security and compliance requirements for supported areas and assists in testing the business continuation plan.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of application development and implementation experience
