The Application Sales Executive (ASE) position is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert on technical solutions to assist in the business development and revenue generation and sales of highly complex/technical products, and new and emerging application services in AT&T’s Internet of Things (IoT) organization.
  • Consulting with direct sales teams and customers to provide technical expertise
  • Provides subject matter expertise regarding the technical issues,sales and solutions for IoT applications
  • Collaborate with account teams to develop sales strategy for pursing IoT opportunities
  • Spends time at customer premise serving as an IoT technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions
  • Establish a partner relationship with customers and partners at Executive C-level, positioning AT&T as a trusted partner
Desired Skills:
  • Working knowledge of high performance cloud architectures and distributed database systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience executing jointly with partners and vendors in the IoT ecosystem
  • Must be comfortable with conveying the value of new and emerging products, technologies or applications to senior level management and across a diverse product team
  • Ability to articulate how IoT software and hardware works with wireless device related field service and field force management software solutions and how these services are deployed for enterprise customers
  • Working knowledge of IoT hardware solutions such as sensors and meters used to capture and relay data through a wireless network
  • Direct work experience and technical skills with wireless technology: GPS/GSM/LTE, CDMA, RFID, Wi-Fi, BLE, ZigBee
  • Assists less experienced peers
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred
  • 5-7 years’ experience with demonstrated success in technology, applications and solutions sales
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance is required
