Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary: .

Working independently under general supervision. Performs expense report audit using the Concur system. Documents audit findings and communicates as appropriate. Performs invoice processing in various systems including obtaining approval and validating various key fields according to all applicable procedures and policies.

Job Duties:

  • Working with the Concur system to audit expense reports to insure they are in compliance with both Abbott and Sunshine reporting policies.
  • Perform invoice processing in Concur Invoice.
  • Perform invoice processing in SAP.
  • Files and stores accounting documents as required.
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

General Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum of three to five years of accounting experience and/or a two year degree in accounting or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft.
  • Experience working in a cross-division business.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Occasional overtime is a requirement of this position.
